Saeed Ajmal, the mystery spinner from Pakistan has refused to become the captain of Pakistan’s T20 team. This position has been vacated after Md. Hafeez resigned from the captaincy after Pakistan’s poor show in the T20 World Cup.

Ajmal stated that he wants to be relaxed while playing cricket, something which captaincy won’t allow him to be.

“I don’t want to put myself forward for captaincy,” Ajmal said. “I think I am better as a team player. I do think about being captain of Pakistan, but I am reluctant too.

He adds that captaining the Pakistan Cricket Team is not an easy task . The captain is always blamed for the poor show of the team . He puts forward the example of Md. Hafeez , who resigned from the capataincy just because all the blame was dumped onto him.He said that  “God has blessed me with a sunny disposition and I want to keep it that way.”

Talking about Misbah ul haq, he said that according to him , Misbah has been better than Imran Khan in the ODIs and Tests. The circumstances under which Misbah has captained the team makes him a better one than legendary Imran Khan.

But he does not get his due share of praise. He’s been a tremendous leader during an extremely difficult time for Pakistan and he’s been our leading run getter, he adds.

But, any poor performance by the team leads to the demand of his sacking from the team. His batting style gets questioned. He adds that Misbah is very responsible and it’s the need of the team.
