Suspended Pakistan off spinner Saeed Ajmal is determined to return to international cricket after remodelling his bowling action under the guidance of Saqlain Mushtaq.
“I have worked hard on correcting the flaws in my action and have made some minor changes to it. But I am confident that even after the changes, I will remain as effective as a bowler as I was before being suspended and I am confident of making a strong comeback to the competitive cricket before the World Cup.
“I am scheduled to be sent to Cardiff next week by the Pakistan Cricket Board for a private test and have already applied for the visa. I have been constantly tested with the cameras installed at the NCA and I am hopeful I will also clear the informal test. “
It would be interesting to see whether Ajmal is able to clear this informal test or not. But if he does it, then PCB can request the ICC to have him undertake another official test at any ICC accredited lab before the World Cup.
The 30-man probable squad for the World Cup 2015 is to be sent to the ICC latest by 7th December and Pakistan would hope that Ajmal clears the tests and makes it to the squad and shine brightly again for them as he did before getting suspended.
