According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Saeed Ajmal has improved a lot on his action to get it rectified but added that the action is still not legal to allow Ajmal to bowl in an International match. PCB had earlier appointed Saqlain Mushtaq to work with Ajmal to get his action rectified.

Ealrier this year in August , Ajmal was reported for his action and later on after Biomechanical Tests in Australia, he was suspended from bowling in an International match , till his action was cleared by ICC again.

PCB made this statement after they got the reports of the Biomechanical Tests performed on him during last week in London under the expert  Dr. Mark King.  According to the report , Ajmal’s elbow extension was around 18-20 degrees , which is a lot less than his previous one , but still not legal. Earlier Ajmal’s bend was around 45 degrees.

PCB has advised Ajmal to stay in London and work under Saqlain Mushtaq to get his action corrected as soon as possible.

Pakistan has been performing exceptionally well in Test cricket even in Ajmal’s absence , defeating Australia 2-0 and taking a lead of 1-0 against New Zealand.
