Positive news for the Australian Cricket. Sean Abbott has returned to the cricket pitch, a week after the unfortunate demise of Phillip Hughes that happened during the Sheffield Shield between New South Wales and South Australia.

Abbott’s team, the New South Wales, on 2nd December rallied around each other at a training session at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

During an interview with Daily Mail Australia, a spokesperson for New South Wales said:

“It’s the whole squad that really needs everyone’s support. We want to keep supporting them as a group there were a lot of Phillip’s friends in the team.

“As for Abbott, he is a very grounded young man who is loved by everyone. We just want to tell him it was freak accident and he cannot think he had anything to do with it. No one is blaming him. We want to hug him and tell him that everything is okay.”

It’s good to see the support that is coming in for Sean Abbott. He is a very exciting talent that Australia needs and it is surely the responsibility of Cricket Australia and New South Wales to keep him in good shape and prepare him for the bright future he has for Australia.
