Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi is the new entrant to charity match organised for raise the money for Ian Botham charity foundation The Beffy’s Foundation.
Shane Warne, Wasim Akram and host of other cricketing legends are set to take field for a charity t20 match on 25th July to celebrate Ian Botham’s 60th birthday bash at The Wormsley Estate in Buckinghamshire.
The legendary all-rounder Botahm will lead a team into the t20 battle against a side picked up by Vivian Richards. Money raised from this match will go directly to Sir Botham’s The Beefy Charity Foundation.
He will be joined by his Pakistani countryman Abdul Razzaq, a former Surrey player, and legend Wasim Akram who is for the Help for Heroes XI
Last week it was announced that the Rest of the World side will be captained by New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum, and coached by Gary Kirsten and managed by Sunil Gavaskar, with the opposition Help for Heroes XI under the leadership of Andrew Strauss and the management of Sir Ian Botham.
They will be joined by fellow legends of the game such as Brian Lara, Matthew Hayden and Graeme Smith as well as Scott Styris, Ross Taylor and Damien Martyn.
They will take on a Strauss’s Help for Heroes XI featuring players including Graeme Swann, Simon Jones, Matthew Hoggard and Darren Gough.
The game will be preceded by a T20 match between the incredible Help for Heroes CC and an England Physical Disability XI.
