Shane Warne, Wasim Akram and host of other cricketing legends are set to take field for a charity t20 match on 25th July to celebrate  Ian Botham’s 60th birthday bash at The Wormsley Estate in Buckinghamshire.

The legendary all-rounder Botahm will lead a team into the t20 battle against a side picked up by Vivian Richards. Money raised from this match will go directly to Sir Botham’s The Beefy Charity Foundation.

The old folks of cricket will come to the fore as the likes of Andrew Strauss, Shane Warne, Matthew Hoggard, Dev Malcom, Stuart McGill, Damien Fleming, Greg Matthews, Adam Hollioake, Darren Gough and Wasim Akram go head to head.

The other famous celebrities taking part are Piers Morgan, Jeffrey Archer and Peter Reid.

The match will be followed by a live concert of Eric Clapton.

Botham’s birthday is actually on November 24, but the celebration is organised in summer in order to attract many international cricket stars.

Also, the 1981 Ashes hero will be training for his next charity walk, across South Africa later this December.

The Beefy Charity Foundation finances Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, Brain Tumour Research and Support, Batten Disease Family Association, Cardiac Risk in the Young and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Tickets for the day are priced from £45
