Shoaib Akhtar’s father passed away

Shoaib Akthar one of the fiercest competitors in the world of cricket is in need of support as his father passed away on Thursday. The ex-Pakistan national player left for his city after he heard of the news.

Akhtar was one known as the fastest bowler in international cricket. He has clocked speeds of over 160 km/ph in his prime. He is one of the hardest bowlers to face with his attitude. He always tries to pick wickets up and is aggressive in his approach.

The fast bowler is in India as a part of the Star Sports commentary group for the Bangladesh tour of India. He is a part of the Hindi commentary provided by Star Sports and also an analyst for the network.

Mohamamd Akhtar, the father of the 46 year old Shoaib Akhtar passed away in his home town in Rawalpindi. The cause of death was reported as a heart attack. Many prominent players have already conveyed their condolences to the Akthar family from all around the world.

With Akhtar on a tour, the Namaz i Janaza will be held after he is able to reach Rawalpindi.

Akthar who announced his retirement in 2011 is one of the most aggressive players to have played the game. He has been involved in controversies all throughout his career.

But he was still a bowler that scared batsman even in difficult conditions. He had a ‘never say die’ attitude that saw him rule the Pakistan bowling department for a long time.

He has also release his autobiography. In the year he retired, Akhtar went on to release a book named ‘Controversially yours’ to give the fans an idea of what happens inside the brain of an aggressive cricketer.

Akhtar is now a huge part of the Star Sports Network in India and is in service with the network for almost an year now.
