In a T20 game, if you have figures like four for seven runs with three wickets in your debut game against T20 world champions, then your work deserves a huge praise. Pakistan’s Shadab khan, leg-break bowler, helped Pakistan beat West Indies by six wickets in Barbados. Shadab Khan’s effort restricted West Indies to 111 runs, and Pakistan in reply chased down with almost three overs left to be bowled.
Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed admired leggie’s efforts, which troubled West Indian batsmen in the game. Captain also showered some words of praise on Imad Wasim, saying he gave us the good start before the debutant took over the stage.
“I would like to give credit to the bowlers. Imad gave us a great start, then Shadab, followed by our pacers Wahab and Hasam who bowled really well.”
Pakistani captain also congratulated Shadab Khan and added it was a big day for him and his family. Sarfraz said he is hopeful of a repetitive show from the rookie in future and if that happens, Pakistan will surely be benefited out of it.
The second T-20 is scheduled to be played on Thursday, March 30th at the very same venue.
