Sourav Ganguly, the president of Cricket Association of Bengal has said that within 3 months, Eden Gardens will be the best cricket stadium in the World. Ganguly added that he has played on all the major venues in the cricket World and knows what is present there and what all needs to be there at Edens. Further, he added that he will take all the possible steps to bring those facilities to Eden Gardens.
Ganguly added that the association’s image is at stake and he will bring in the best minds to bring on the change. Also, he said that only those who delivers the optimal output will remain a part of the system.
Earlier, the 3rd T20 between India and South Africa was cancelled out because of the wet outfield. It rained for only about 10-20 minutes and that too around 4 hours before the match. But the match was not possible and the Association had to face criticism, which in many ways is valid. The manin reason that broke out was the soil, which had a major portion of clay and it took a lot of time to soak the water.
Eden Gardens is set to host the finals of the T20 World Cup in India next year and we would love to see more facilities and infra over here. Hopefully the association learns from it’s mistake and who better than Ganguly to lead the change.
