Former India captain Saurav Ganguly has said that this is the perfect time for India to win in England. He wants India to exact revenge for last time’s series whitewash. England has not been in good form, losing the ashes as well as the test series against Sri Lanka. However, it will not be easy for India to win in English conditions.

Ganguly said, “That [2011 Tour] is past. India has a very good chance this time. England are well and truly down. They had lost the Ashes and now they lost in ODI and the Test series to Sri Lanka. It will be very difficult for them to recover from these blows. That is one of the key reasons I think this is Dhoni‘s best chance. I don’t think this is going to be the same like in 2011 where I thought that England was a far superior team.”

He added, “One might use that phrase, but on their recent tours to South Africa and New Zealand, they came pretty close to winning a Test each, although they couldn’t finish the job, and that experience is going to come handy for this side. Dhoni will have to keep a close eye on who among the two is bowling better in the run up to the first Test because I am sure that only one of the two will play in the first Test. But in the end whoever gets selected will have to bowl well. I am pretty sure that the tracks will be green and assist the seam and swing bowlers and if anything other than this is on offer I will be highly surprised.”
