Cricket South Africa (CSA) have announced the 30-men preliminary squad for the ICC World Cup 2015 to be held in Australia and New Zealand.
The squad has a strong batting core accompanied with skillful bowling. AB de Villiers will captain the South African team for the first time in the World Cup.
Out of favour all-rounder, Justin Ontong has got a fresh lease of life after being named in the squad. Ontong, who last played an ODI for South Africa in 2012, will be fighting for a place in final 15 with Robin Peterson and Rilee Rossouw.
Reeza Hendricks and Kagiso Rabada, who made their T20 debuts against Australia this year, have also been named in the squad.
