Hosts South Africa finally managed to sneak a Victory in the T20I series as they beat the visitors in the Dead Rubber 3rd T20I by runs.

–> South Africa defeated West Indies by 69 runs, their third highest winning margin in T20Is and second highest against Test playing nations. They won by highest margins against Scotland (130) in 2009 and England (84) in 2009.
This is the second worst defeat for West Indies in terms of runs in T20Is. They worst defeat was against New Zealand in 2014 where they lost by 81 runs.
–> Morne Van Wyk scored the 14th Century in T20Is. His unbeaten 114 is the 8th highest score in T20Is. This was also the 3rd Century for South Africa. Only New Zealand & SA teams have 3 individual Centuries in T20 Internationals.
For the first time in T20I history, two centuries were recorded in consecutive matches. South Africa’s Faf du Plessis and Morne van Wyk scored those.
Van Wyk became the second batsman to score T20I century while acting as Keeper.

–> Morne van Wyk became the oldest player to score a T20I century. He scored his it at the age of 35 years, 300 days beating Tillakaratne Dilshan’s 34 years, 296 days record.
–> Morne Van Wyk and Reeza Hendricks shared a stand of 111 for opening wicket, the 30th Century stand in T20Is for opening wicket & second for South Africa.
–> David Wiese became the 11th bowler to pick up a 5-wicket haul in T20 internationals. He is the second South African bowler after Ryan McLaren who had a 5-wicket haul in 2010, also against West Indies.
