Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews revealed on Wednesday that though Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not there in the Indian team for the first three One Day Internationals (ODIs), Sri Lanka will not take the Indian team likely.

The 5 match series is going to be held between India and Sri Lanka, the 1st match starts on Sunday at Cuttack on 2nd November. Mathews said in a TV interview that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a baluster of strength for the Indian squad and they all know what a devastating player he is. If Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not around, the opponent might think that they might have a chance there, but you cannot be satisfied against a team like India thinking that Dhoni is not around. As Dhoni is not there they will get slight advantage but that advantages cannot only help them to win the matches, because without Mahendra Singh Dhoni India is also able to win the match against the Asian rivals.

Mathews said that India is a tough spot to tour and Sri Lanka’s past record has not been good in India. He added that India is a tough place to tour. Their previous experience in India has not been that good and they will try to clinch the series correcting their wrong parts this time around. He added that they do not have many adroit bowlers on this tour but the young team members will grasp because this is a very hard place to play cricket.
