South Africa made their first step to the victory in South Africa vs. Sri Lanka One Day International three match series. South Africa won the first match by 75 runs. The Proteas performance astonished the spectators whereas this match was like horrible nightmare for Sri Lankan Team. Performance of Sri Lankan team was not upto the mark. Sorrow, disappointment covered Sri Lankan fans faces. If this Sri Lankan team does not change their plan in the next upcoming match, which will be held at Pallekele, they will be in great trouble. They have to win the next match tomorrow if they want to survive in the 3-match series.

South Africa will want to register their series by winning the 2nd One Day International match when they clash on Wednesday at Pallekele. The star of the 1st match, Hashim Amla anchored the innings with a hard-fought hundred. He scored 109 runs off 130 balls with strike rate of 83.84 which shows that he is in great form. Hashim Amla could be the key player of the 2nd match. Don’t forget about the other hitter who gave a reliable partnership of 151 runs with Amla in the first match, Mr. 360 Degree,  AB de Villiers who is capable of demolishing this Sri Lankan Team. He showed his conqueror nature by getting 75 runs on the scoreboard.  Jacques Kallis will be South Africa’s only concern as he was out for a second-ball duck when he failed to read Mendis‘ carrom ball. But there is one famous phrase that is “Form is temporary, Class is permanent.” Kallis is among those classy players who cannot be judged on the basis of one duck. He could click anytime in the 2nd match. David Miller is also a destructive batsman, who has an impressive strike-rate in the limited overs formats. Miller led the late charge and South Africa scored 53 runs in the final five overs. This middle order batsman could be the star of next match. JP Duminy is another big name in Proteas team. Though he did not performed well in the previous ODI, he will be hungry to get runs for his team.

Dale Steyn, the mesmerizer pace bowler is the best weapon for his team. He got two wickets in the 1st ODI. The Proteas possess another fabulous speedster in the name of Morne Morkel who is also capable to destroy the opposition in a single spell. He got two wicket with economy of 5.57. This pace dual could be the key bowler of the next match.

After being thrashed in 1st ODI Sri Lanka should get balance in the playing eleven.Thisara Perera could replace Lahiru Thirimanne or Ashan Priyanjan. Sri Lankan team expected that they could dominate proteas but they are disappointed with their performance against them.

Sri Lankan Team does possess another dependable batsman in the form of Kumar Sangakkara. Despite a speedy start and a sparkling 88 from him could not led the team to the path of victory. This calm, cool reliable Sri Lankan Batsman could be the key player of the next match. In the first match, Sangakkara slowed down and took his time to settle in, while on the other hand Tillakaratne Dilshan kept the innings moving. He scored 40 off 46 balss. ‘The Dilscoop Inventor’ could be the key player of the next match if he could extract his furious batting character from him.  Mahela Jayawardena is the answer of this question. This cool minded batsman could execute match surgically. He did not played well in the last match still he will be one of the key figure for the next match for his career performances.

The star, gem of the Sri Lankan team Lasith Malinga bowled horribly in the last match. It is the one of the worst matches he performed very badly. A urge will act on him which could brought couple of wickets with a good economy. The batsman all-rounder,Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews gives a good support to the bowling attack. Nuwan Kulasekhra’s pace variation could get proteas a lots of trouble. Sachitra SenanayakeAjantha Mendis, Rangana Herath and are the key figures and can turn the tide in their team’s favor within the span of a few overs.
