India played superbly in their recently concluded home season of 2016/17. During that, not only India regained their no.1 Test ranking, they retained no. 1 ranking with dominance. All the Indian cricketers gave their best on the field which put them top in the end.

India’s 2016/17 season began with the New Zealand series (3 Tests and 5 ODIs) which was followed by the England series (5 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is), Bangladesh series (only Test) and ended with an entertaining Australia series (4 Tests).

In 2016/17, there were lots of records broken by the Indian cricketers, as individual players and as a team. If we look at records, we can easily say that it was one of the best home seasons ever for any side in the history of the game.

Now we will look at some important records for India during 2016/17 home season.
