An embarrassing end to the Test series  for India, after a promising start in the first two test matches drawing the first and winning the one at lords, Team India got over excited by the joy so much that they ended up losing three games on a trot. This has disappointed the former Indian Captain, Sunil Gavaskar by a great extent.

Gavaskar criticized India’s tactics from top to bottom and claimed that India had done mistakes in every sphere of the game througout the series.

Two Test match loses that to by an Innings, nothing could have been more embarrassing for team India who failed to keep up with the expectation. To add insult to injuries the visitors were a victim of their own trickery of spin, Moeen Ali a not so regular spinner bamboozled the Indian Batting line up in English conditions while the Indian spinners struggled to get wickets.

India’s so called opening attack failed to give a start, the middle order also lacked the ability to bat the crucial overs. Team India seemed clue less on pitches that did something and had movements for bowlers. To add up to the misery Virat Kholi the star of the team struggled throughout the series to find his nick and ended the series in a disheartening manner. Apart from Indian Skipper Dhoni everybody seemed to struggle all throughout the series, what was more disgracing was the fact that team India were Bundled only in the 29 over of the match.

Apart from the batting  perspective team India also lacked in the bowling division, they struggled to move the ball, the spinners found it difficult to get wickets while the inexperienced spin attack from Moeen Ali rocked the Indian middle-order.

On an interview by the media Sunil Gavaskar said Dhoni and his team has embarrassed Team India with their weak resistance or so called jelly-like resistance, he further added if the players are not interested in playing longer formats for the country then they should quit the game and stick to the shorter format of the game.
