India’s middle order batsman Suresh Raina is the latest to join the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” (Clean India Campaign), an initiative started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clean the country. Raina also mentioned that cleanliness is a reflection of our civilization and that it should no longer be just a dream.
“I’m very happy today to participate in the initiative of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” which has been started by our honorable PM Shri. Narendra Modi. Every Indian citizen should take up this noble endeavor and consider it as their duty to keep their surroundings clean,” Raina said.

After the cleanliness drive, the 27-year-old also nominated and urged his UP teammates Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla and RP Singh along with BCCI Vice-President Rajiv Shukla, hockey player Sreejesh, Bollywood singer Shreya Ghosal, Sonu Nigam and badminton player Saina Nehwal, K Srikanth to come forward and participate in the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”.
