Sri Lankan off spinner , Senanayake , who was recently reported for a suspect bowling action has been included in the Sri Lankan side for the first 2 ODIs against South Africa. According to the ICC rules , Senanayake can be included till the results of his tests are out.

Senanayake went a testing at the Cardiff Metropolitan University on June 29 and the results of the tests are yet not out, allowing Senanayake to participate in International game.

Suranga Lakmal is yet to recover and has not been selected and opener Kushal Perera has been selected , but his involvement will depend on his physical fitness, which he will have to prove his fitness today .

Wicket Keeper batsman Dinesh Chandimal and Chaturanga de Silva have been eliminated from the side . They both had toured England earlier this season and will be replaced by Upul Thranga and Kithuruwan Vinthage. Thranga has been in and out of the team since he made his debut and has been considered an ODI specialist. Dinesh Chandimal has lost his place after his regular below par scores for the team, after he made earned some good name for himself in the initial part of his ODI career.

The first match of the series will start on this Sunday and the second one will be played on Wednesday. The final game is on 12th July. This ODI series will be followed by Test series. South Africa have appointed Hashim Amla as their new Test captain ,ahead of AB Devilliers, after Graeme Smith reited from all forms of cricket, leaving the spot of Test captain up for grabs.
