We are just a day left to the start of the second of the five match test series between England and India and it is to be noted that the second test is to be played at perhaps the home of Cricket, Lord’s. It is going to be a great test and every cricketer aspires to play Test match at Lord’s. Prior to the grand occasion, the India team attended an official dinner with the High Commission of India ahead of their second test.
Every member of the Indian team including the players, support staffs and the manager were invited at the dinner. Recently on the field things have heated up with the Anderson–Jadeja controversy and Team India relaxed from the pressure to a slight extent at the dinner party. Everyone, including the players and also the support staffs enjoyed the dinner and they were served with plenty of delicious dishes lavishly and it was a grand dinner.
During India’s last visit to England, a small controversy arose as India did not manage to visit the High Commission. The schedule was hectic and Indian Team were not able to make a visit on the date they were invited by the High Commission. Later, there were subsequent alternate dates proposed by the Indian team but on those dates, it was not possible for the High Commission to arrange things.
India’s second test starts from tomorrow at the Lord’s and the Indian team is looking forward to it. The first test was drawn and both teams come to the second test with plenty of good signs. There were some brilliant performances in the likes of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Murali Vijay, Stuart Binny with the bat for India and also Ishant Sharma bowled brilliantly. Also the first test marked quite a few records like the record for the last wicket partnership. India put over 100 runs in the last wicket stand with both Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami scoring half centuries. Also, England made a record-breaking 196 runs last wicket partnership with Anderson and Joe Root.
