Team India’s ODI squad has a new jersey by sports apparel company Nike, and it was unveiled on Monday on Twitter. So as India takes the field against Australia in the one-day internationals (ODIs) in October, fans will get to see them in brand new uniforms. The Indian ODI team’s new kit was unveiled on micro blogging site by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Indian bowlers – pacer Umesh Yadav, and spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja – also shared the new jersey on their Twitter pages. The limited-overs section of Australia’s tour of India contains seven ODIs and a one-off Twenty20 International and commences on October 10.
How’s that Look? Sir Ravindra Jadeja? As per news, Interestingly, Nike had launched a new Twenty20 kit for the Indian team in August last year. But a superstitious BCCI had ordered the team to wear the same jersey design that won them the 2011 World Cup for World Twenty20 in a bid to bring them good luck. The move to drop the new jerseys came less than a month after they were unveiled last year.
