Sri Lanka has had one of the best years in terms of Test cricket as they have only lost one series of the 5 they played in this year. Their record of 5 wins and 2 loses in 11 matches says it all. Sri Lanka played 2 series against Pakistan and one each against Bangladesh, South Africa and England in 2014.

Australia seems to be getting it foothold back on Test cricket as they are finally finding players to replace the legends. In their 7 matches played, Australia has won 4 and lost 3. Australia began the year well as the won the Ashes and also beat South Africa 2-1. The only disappointment was against Pakistan as they lost 0-2 on their own turf.

When we talk about India, 2014 has definitely not been one of those year for which one would like to remember their Test record. India has just won 1 match of the 8 they have played in 2014. India began the season with 0-1 lost to New Zealand and then 1-3 loss to England. This year India has won only 1 test and that too at the historical ground of Lord’s.

India did have a chance to better their record as West Indies visited India for a Test series but thanks to some internal conflicts the series was cancelled. India still has 2 more games to be played in this year. Both are against Australia and if India can manage to win both of those, then the team would end the season at a high.

But will India make a comeback? Only time will tell. Share your views with us.
