The latest edition of the Indian Premier League is scheduled to start from the 16th of April. This year however the game is going international. It was the second edition in the year 2009 that begun in South Africa after that stint it will be happening this year.

The IPL matches are to be held in Sharjah as per the decided dates. However with all the controversies going around the game, the complete schedule of the latest edition was yet to be unveiled. The matches to be played in Dubai are quite in place but when the game returns to India on the 1st of May, things were yet to be chalked probably.

The Supreme Court has asked the BCCI President N Srinivasan for his resignation and now Sunil Gavaskar has replaced him as the BCCI-IPL President. Amongst the many issues this interim president has to attend to coming out with the complete schedule of the games to be played in this edition tops the list.

This interim president of the IPL games has taken his position seriously and has come up with second part of the IPL games which were chalked down to be played in India. This is more than good news to the Indian audience who have been anxiously waiting for this game.

The first 20 matches of this game will be played in Dubai while the remaining 20 will be played back in India from the 2nd of May. The first match to be held between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders in India will be hosted by Ranchi. The first Qualifier and the Eliminator will be hosted by Chennai. Mumbai will witness the second Qualifier and the Final.

Jaipur is however not been included in the list for this season’s game. The Rajasthan Royals fans will see the franchisee playing home games in Ahmadabad. This seasons schedule is a blow for this 2008 winning team, as the Sawai Mansingh has traditionally been a fortress for the Royals.

The schedule of this edition was uncertain majorly cause of the general elections lined up from 7th April to 12th May. This is also the reason why the first leg of the schedule will be witnessed in Dubai.

The ticket booking has already begun so get yourself a seat and cheer for your favourite team.
