Gilly’s 149 sixes in his illustrious career in 287 ODIs matches.His 9619s runs with a belligerent 96.94 strike rate ranks him as one of the most dangering batsman in World history.

9. Chris Cairns (New Zealand): This Kiwi all-rounder hit 153 sixes in his career. One of the best all rounders in his day, Crains amassed 4950 runs and 201 wickets with a strike rate was 84.26. Cairns made his ODI debut against England in 1991 at Wellington and stands 9th in the list.

8. Brendon McCullum (New Zealand): Another new Zealander makes the list and his presence in the list is not a surprise. A big hitter wicket keeper, he hit total 156 sixes in his career in 229 matches till now. He collected total 5172 runs with strike rate of 90.80. He made his ODI debut against Australia at Sydney in 2002. He ranks eighth in this list.

7. Ricky Ponting (Australia): One of the best captain of Australia, Ricky Ponting is at 7th position in the list. Ponting hit 162 sixes in 375 matches in his ODI career. He made his ODI debut against South Africa at Wellington in 1995 as he amassed 13704 runs in his career before he retired in 2012 playing last match against India at Brisbane.

6. Mahendra Singh Dhoni (India): India’s swasbuckling captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni stands at number 6th position in this list with 175 sixes in his career in 243 ODI matches till now. He made his debut against Bangladesh at Chittagong in 2004. Dhoni has 8046 runs with strike rate of 89.24.

Sourav Ganguly (India):  ‘The Bengal Tiger’ and the most aggressive captain of India team, Sourav ‘Dada’ Ganguly hit 190 sixes in his ODI career most of whom would be coming down the track against left handed spinners. the Royal Bengal Tiger made his ODI debut against West Indies at Brisbane in 1992 before having played 311 matches and collected 11363 runs with strike rate of 73.70. 

4. Sachin Tendulkar (India): ‘The Cricket God’ ‘Master Blaster’ Sachin is Standing at 4th position in the list. He played 463 ODI matches in his career with 195 sixes in his career.  He touched the milestone of 15000 runs in ODI cricket collecting 18426 runs. His highest score is 200 in his ODI career. He made his ODI debut against Pakistan in 1989 at Gujranwala.

3. Chris Gayle (West Indies): Caribbean big hitter Giant Chris Gayle is at 3rd position in this list. He made his ODI debut against India at Toronto in 1999. He hit total 204 sixes in his career till now. He collected total 8743 in 255 matches. His strike rate is 84.22 till now.

2. Sanath Jayasuriya (Sri Lanka):  Sanath Jayasuriya, the reliable name in Sri Lankan team. He played total 445ODI matches in his career. He hit 270 sixes in his career. He collected total 13430 run with 91.20 Strike rate and average of 32.36. . He made his debut against Australia at Melbourne in 1989. He took retirement playing last match of his OCI career against England in 2011 at The Oval.

1. Shahid Afridi (Pakistan):  ‘Boom Boom’ Afridi is standing at top of this list. He hit 333 sixes in his ODI career till now.  He played total 378 matches in his ODI career. His Nickname ‘Boom Boom’is appropriate for this hitting element of him. He is a batsman all-rounder. He collected 7619 with strike rate of 115.61 and showed us magic with ball too and took 378 wickets in his career. He made his debut against Kenya at Nairobi in 1996.
