With the new field restrictions in play the batsmen had made use of these rules with full effect. The strong teams have scored so many runs that the other teams are not able to chase the total or even get close to it.

1. Afghanistan vs. Australia –
This match saw the highest total in World Cup history. This match was played at Perth on March 4th. Afghanstan won the toss and elected to field. Australia lost a wicket early, that of Finch. David Warner and Smith smashed the spirited bowling of Afghanistan. David Warner scored 178 runs and then Maxwell came and did a great job of scoring a quick fire of 88 off 39 balls. Australia scored a massive 417 for 6 in 50 overs.
2. South Africa vs. Ireland –
This was the second highest total of the tournament in World Cup 2015. This match was played at Canberra on the 3rd March. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat. De Kock got out early once again but Faf du Plessis and Amla again put up a brilliant partnership; De Villiers scored 24 off just 9 balls. At the end, Rossouw and Miller scored at quick pace. South Africa scored a massive 411 for 4. South Africa won this match by 201 runs. In this match, Amla and Du Plessisboth scored centuries against a weak bowling side.
3. South Africa vs. West Indies –
This match again was a high scoring affair. This match was played at Sydney. In this match, South Africa won the toss and elected to bat. They lost a wicket early but Amla and Du Plessis put a good partnership together. Then in the middle overs, they lost 2 wickets in quick succession. After that De Villiers and Rossouw again scored runs in singles. After 30 over’s de Villiers and Rossouw scored runs at quick pace. De Villiers was at his best scoring 162 runs off 66 balls. South Africa reached a massive total of 408 for 5 to which West Indies lost by 257 runs.
4. Australia vs. Sri Lanka –
This match was a high scoring affair. It was played at Sydney on March 8. Australia won the toss and elected to bat. They lost 2 wickets at the start. After that Clarke and Smith put a good partnership which steadied the innings. Glenn Maxwell played a brilliant innings and scored his first hundred. He and Watson made the bowling ordinary. Australia scored a massive 376 for 9 in 50 overs which Sri Lanka made a good attempt and lost the match by 64 runs.
5. West Indies vs. Zimbabwe –
This match produced high score match from West Indies. This match was played between West Indies and Zimbabwe at Canberra on the 24th February. West Indies won the toss and elected to bat. West Indies lost a wicket early which was of Smith. Gayle got a reprieve when a LBW decision was turned down but Zimbabwe went for a review but the decision stood as not out. After that Samuels and Gayle played sensibly and just tore apart the weak Zimbabwe bowling into pieces. Gayle scored 215 runs and Samuels scored 133 not-out. West Indies scored 372 for 2 at the end of 50 overs. Zimbabwe made a good attempt to reach the total but lost out by 73 runs.
