The Indian team were left in a difficult situation after losing Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh in early stages as Virat Kohli was left alone at the crease to carry on with the innings from 63/4. However, he got great support as Kedar Jadhav has countered English bowling to keep the chase in reach as Virat took calculative risks.
The duo managed a record partnership as India reached the target with ease at the end. The century by Virat Kohli meant he is now tied with all-time great Sachin Tendulkar for most centuries in successful run chases and have also squared off with Sachin for most centuries while chasing.
Michael Vaughan is one of the many to admire the Indian skipper who is among the top two across all the three formats. He made a series of tweets praising the Indian skipper.
“VIRAT KOHLI IS FROM ANOTHER PLANET #Fact,” Vaughan tweeted. After which he again tweeted saying he is the best batsman in all the three formats.
