Jan 4, 2017 at 10:38 PM
Indian limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni made a sensational decision this evening as he decided to step down as captain for the national team in both ODIs and T20Is.
The news came as an absolute shock for all cricket fans across India as everyone expected him to lead the side till the Champions Trophy this summer. MS Dhoni indeed has been a cornerstone in Indian cricket since his debut in 2005 and has grown in no time to become a great inspiration for youngsters in India.
He has been a complete package for the Indian team as his captaincy skills are matched with his wicket-keeping and finishing skills as he is considered the best in all the three aspects. Needless to say, the contribution made by MS Dhoni to Indian cricket is incomparable as he has broken all the captaincy records at Indian level and has managed to break few all-time records in his captaincy stint over the past nine years.
Here’s how twitter reacted to his decision:
2007-Dhoni captain of Team India
