Twitter Reacts As South Africa Steamroll New Zealand In A Three-Day Finish

Poor shot selection and lack of patience cost New Zealand the second Test at Basin Reserve, Wellington as Faf du Plessis-led South Africa chased down the 81-run target with eight wickets in hand. The match ended too early than expected as the Black Caps failed to take advantage of the opportunities they had in the past couple of days.
After a sturdy show from Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock, No.11 Morne Morkel showed tremendous resistance to hit 40 off 63 balls and help South Africa gain a 91-run lead, with their final total reading 359. The visitors were not anticipated to score these runs especially after been mired at 94/6 before lunch on Day 2.
However, New Zealand, who had almost two and half days, failed to set a huge target as they suffered a batting debacle which saw them getting bundled out for just 171. Thus, the fight back shown by the Proteas earlier was perfectly backed up by their bowlers which eventually resulted in a superb win. The only saving grace for the home side was Jeet Raval, who played a terrific knock of 80.
Keshav Maharaj made good use of the dark patches and ended up with the second-best figures by a spinner at the Basin Reserve, snaring 6/40 in 20.2 overs.
#NZvsSA what a brilliant fight back from Proteas to win within 3 days. We did it against the Aussies in Hobart. Protea Fire!

Time to drop Cook? I still don't get how 1 can be so prolific in our domestic with such glaring issues outside off.@OfficialCSA #NZvsSA
