After the refusal of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association to host the two youth Test matches between India and England U-19 teams, the BCCI has chosen Vidarbha Cricket Association as the replacement to host the matches. TNCA showed its incapability to host the two games citing busy domestic schedule.
The state association led by N. Srinivasan sent a written letter to the BCCI for the same. The board addressed the letter and announced the replacement for the ground after a period of two weeks.
As per the new schedule, England Under 19 will play five youth ODIs and two youth Test matches in the month-long tour. The five-match ODI series starts on January 30 with the first, fourth and fifth game to be played at Wankhede Stadium and Brabourne Stadium hosting the second and third ODI. The youth Test matches will be played at Vidarbha Cricket Stadium from February 13 and February 21.
Indian selectors also announced the squad for the youth One-Day series.
