7 best helicopter shot, MS Dhoni is not alone the best

Indian ODI and T20 captain MS Dhoni is the inventor of outrageous helicopter shot. This shot on of the difficult shot for a batsman, but Dhoni has a strong back lift which helps him to lift a ball for an over-boundary that hit the stands with a speed of lightening. This shot helps him to hit a toe crusher yorker with a massive six.

MS Dhoni, who is one of the best finishers in the world, often finishes the innings with boundary, sometimes an over boundary. For example, his match winning  helicopter shot over the long on at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai in the2011 ICC  World Cup final against Sri Lanka is one of the most adorable memory of Indian cricket fans.

MS Dhoni won many matches for India from the jaws of defeat with his helicopter shot. The helicopter was first seen against Bangladesh in 2004 when MS Dhoni made his debut. The plethora of helicopter shot came against Pakistan in Jamshedpur in 2005 when Dhoni scored a blistering 148.

But, in the list of top seven helicopter shot, you will see one of the best technically equipped batsman, who dominated cricket till his retirement in 2012. I am talking about Sachin Tendulkar, who is one of the best learners of the game, did not bother to learn this unique helicopter shot from his junior MS Dhoni.

This shot is the best weapon to confront a lethal toe-crusher from a bowler like Lasith Malinga, whose Yorker is the most lethal in contemporary cricket.
