In a slow moving fourth-day of fourth and final Test match between India and South Africa of Gandhi Mandela series at Feroz Shah Kotla captain Virat Kohli asked Shikhar Dhawan to bowl.

Dhawan bowled only three overs today, but, on a day when South African batsmen opted to score run slowly Dhawan created an opportunity in his first over. Unfortunately, Cheteswar Pujara missed that difficult chance.

Dhawan came into bowl at the 54th over of the fourth innings. At that time, South Africa were 49/2 with AB de Villiers and Hasim Amla partnership still not get of the mark after faced 62 deliveries.

Dhawan bowled full toss in the very first ball to Amla, which was punished by Amla through a boundary. At the fourth ball, he beat Amla which was looking like an edge at first.

At the 5th ball of that over, Amla was lucky. Amla was going to defend it which was hit high on the bat’s blade and went to the silly point fielder Cheteswar Pujara. Pujara reacted very slow and put vain that chance.

At the last ball of the over, he was slapped again for four by Hasim Amla.
