Top notch banter, a bit of interesting exchanges and a lot of influential cricket totally describes every India Australia tie and the 2013 bilateral ODI series was no different. The series witnessed a lot of heated exchanges between the players. One such incident happened during the seventh and last ODI of that fiercely fought series.
Australian all-rounder Shane Watson went off the field after bowling five overs because of a hamstring injury, and came out to bat at No. 8 instead of No. 3, when Australia were 138 for 6. He was having some difficulty in running between the wickets. Watson punched his first ball into the covers, where Dhawan fielded it before the moment turned ugly. The Indian opener displayed a disappointing lack of respect for an injured sportsman by hobbling and mocking a limping Watson. Watson responded to that mocking by waving his bat at Dhawan. At the end of that over, both had a further exchange of words.
Once again the match witnessed a similar situation involving Suresh Raina. After stopping a James Faulkner shot, Raina started hobbling to mock the injured Australian all-rounder. We leave it up to you to decide whether the incident was acceptable or did the Indian players crossed the line.
