Game Maari Chhe

Recently, a new IPL team Gujarat Lions has launched their official anthem.

Gujarat Lions is a new franchise based team in the city of Rajkot, Gujarat which is owned by Keshav Bansal’s Intex Technologies. However, it is a temporary franchise based team which will play in the IPL 2016 and 2017 seasons. It is one of the two new IPL teams (other is Rising Pune Supergiants), who replaced Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals in IPL for the two seasons. Both teams were suspended for two seasons (2016 and 2017) due to alleged illegal betting by their owners.

Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium (Rajkot) is the main home ground for Gujarat Lions. The team is abbreviated as GL. Earlier, the team announced Indian cricketer Suresh Raina as their captain. Apart from Raina, the team has many big names like Ravindra Jadeja (India), Aaron Finch (Australia), Dwayne Bravo (West Indies), Brendon McCullum (New Zealand), Dale Steyn (South Africa) etc. Brad Hodge (Australia) is their head coach while Heath Streak (Zimbabwe) is their bowling coach.

Gujarat Lions also revealed their logo and their kits earlier last months. Now they launched their official anthem through the social media. “GameMaariChhe” become the official song of this new IPL team. Gujarat Lions posted it on their official Twitter account.

Gujarat Lions will begin their IPL journey against Kings XI Punjab on 11th April at Mohali. Their first home game will be played on 14th April at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium against the other new team Rising Pune Supergiants.
