In the 2010-11 Ashes series in Australia, during the Perth Test, Australia were in a comfortable position, though not the same in the series. Mitchell Johnson took it as an oppurtunity as sledged James Anderson, who was short of wickets in the series. Johnson said  “Why are you chirping now mate, not getting any wickets?”

Anderson did the ball do the talking as he clean bowled Ryan Harris on thevery next delivery. Anderson then turned back and showed his emotions to Mitchell Johnson who had nothing to say at that moment. Australia did win the match but lost that series 3-1.

Australian players have always preferred to sledge their opposition and have had an upper hand on these matters. But in the recent times, we have seen other teams giving them a perfect reply.
