Dhoni edged a Neil Wagner‘s short-pitched ball back to the stumps but umpire Steve Davies referred the decision to third umpire Gary Baxter for a close no-ball call.

TV replays clearly proved Wagner’s foot landing on the white line, however, the third umpire deemed that there was no problem with his landing, and much to the shock of the TV commentators who were convinced Dhoni would be adjudged not out, Dhoni was given out which effectively sealed the game in New Zealand’s favor.

SHOCKING umpiring in the Auckland test costing India the match.
