Confused, trapped and a horrendous leave; well such things can happen to great players, happened to Virat Kohli in Pune and now to Australian captain Steven Smith in Ranchi. Same sort of leaves, same sought of mis-calculation and then the same outcome. Steve O’Keefe had better of the Indian captain and now Ravindra Jadeja toppled the Australian to settle the score.

During Australia’s second innings, Steven Smith got himself out and not Jadeja. Well, looking at the manner of his dismissal, he was not intact with the line of the ball and seemed confused whether to play or leave, and in a split second chose the second option and payed the price. The ball which was always turning, dislodged Smith’s off-stump from the ground and with that Australia’s hope of sticking around till the end.

His dismissal brought smile on Indian faces and why not, he’s a big fish, scored a hundred in the first innings and more importantly he is an opposition captain. Though, on the other hand, Australian camp looked shattered with his choice of shot, which obviously he didn’t offer.
