Video: Ishant Sharma takes a stunning catch at boundary line

South Africa once again on the verge of karmic defeat at the hand of India as after host’s 334 all out South Africa all out for 121 in the fourth and final Test of “Gandhi-Mandela” Test series at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.  They are folded up inside two seasons. Ravindra Jadeja has taken five wickets. Ishant Sharma, who has taken the wicket of Dane Vilas, took a superb catch of AB de Villiers.

South Africa lost their top five batsmen for just 65 runs. Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja and pacer Umesh Yadav gave South Africa a fitting reply. South African spinner Dane Piedt and Dale Steyn’s replacement Kyle Abbott has taken 4 and 5 wickets respectively to clean up India inside 334 runs. Abbott has become the first pace bowler to claim five wickets after Courtney Walsh of West Indies in 1987.

Umesh Yadav’s reverse swing uprooted JP Duminy off stump. Duminy scored 1. Duminy wicket ended South Africa’s hope in the match. With this wicket, Umesh Yadav has become the fastest Indian pace bowler to claim 50 wickets in Test cricket. Yadav played 17 Tests so far. He made his debut in 2011 against West Indies in this ground.

But, nobody thought that on a Feroz Shah Kotla, which South Africa coach said would go beyond three days South Africa once agin suffered a big collapse.

Ravindra Jadeja  has taken five wickets while Umesh Yadav has taken two.

Yadav started mayhem in the South African batting order. He gave India the first breakthrough by picking up the wicket of Dean Elgar. From 36 for 1, South Africa lost their second wicket debutant Temba Bevuma for 40. Captain Hashim Amla once agin caught behind off Ravindra Jadeja while Fa du Plessis chiefly dismissed by Jadeja. Ishant Sharma took the wicket off Dane Vilas.

Earlier in the morning, Ajinka Rahane’s brilliant hundred shepherds India respectable total 334. Rahane shoulders India’s burden from 139 for 6. India lost their recognized batsmen for a paltry 139 runs. But Rahane played a brilliant knock that once made former cricketer like Sanjay Manjrekar think that India could score 400. Manjrekar was right as Rahane’s 98 runs partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin promised a lot.

Rahane’s well-fought innings was ended by Imran Tahir. Ashwin scored 56 before Kyle Abbott grabbed him.
