Virat Kohli is considered as one of the modern greats who has a thrilling career so far for India. The player has an excellent technique and is one of the finest the game of cricket has ever seen. Indian skipper on the fourth day of 4th Test against England scored a prolific 235 which saw India pile up a 200 plus run lead against the visitors. He also achieved the feat of 4000 runs in Test cricket and 1000 runs in the calendar year 2016.
The innings was of sheer class as Virat looked confident right from the start when he came out to bat on Day 3. The Indian skipper took 340 deliveries to get to his 235 which included 25 boundaries and biggie. Virat held the innings together even when the Indian middle order collapsed to spin. The pitch was slightly in favour of the spinners but they were of no harm to the amazing Virat Kohli. Coming in after Chesteshwar Pujara got out, Virat saw off both spin and pace en route to his huge score and guided India to an advantageous position. Kohli put up a 241 run stand with lower order batsman Jayant Yadav who also scored his first test ton. The RCB batsman brought up his 200 runs of Adil Rashid who grabbed 4 wickets and emerged as the highest wicket-taker for England in the innings.
