The recent times have witnessed some fierce on-field battles between the Indian and Bangladeshi cricket team. With the minnows finally getting a foothold in world cricket, they have not only gained the confidence of facing every opponent but have also shown remarkable courage to indulge in a war of words with their far superior neighbours and one player who has been constantly targeted by the Bangladeshi players is Indian batting sensation, Virat Kohli. Whether it was the 2011 World cup or the 2015 World Cup, the players from across the border never miss a chance to sledge Kohli and one such incident was witnessed when India toured Bangladesh in 2015.
After winning the first of the three-match ODI series, the hosts were riding high on confidence and in the second match too they started brilliantly by dismissing Rohit Sharma for a duck. They strengthened their grip on the match when they dismissed India’s batting mainstay Kohli with only 74 on the board. Bangladeshi spinner Nasir Hussain trapped Virat Kohli LBW when Kohli misread a straighter ball from the bowler. However, as Kohli was walking towards the pavilion, the hosts decided to give him a send-off. And what made the whole incident look even worse was when Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza was seen saying something to the Indian batsman. As expected the banter was not very well received by Kohli and he looked clearly unhappy. However, he controlled his emotions like a matured individual and just after standing on the ground and giving the opposition players a stare he returned to the dressing room.
