How difficult it is for a fast bowler to come running down the track with full force, apply full strength to bowl but the batsman back off at the last moment? All the effort put in comes to a waste and bowler sometimes feel like hitting the batsman as the bowler again has to take the long walk back, come back again to bowl.  Sometimes the bowler loses his concentration and ball loose deliveries thus conceding runs.

The same happened with the Ireland bowler Kevin O’Brien who was bowling the second last over of the game in an ODI against Afghanistan. He bowled a superb yorker to  Afghanistan’s Dawlat Zadran but surprisingly Zadran backed off and umpire called it a dead ball. Brien was a little bit sad over this and the effects were seen on the next all.  He bowled a loose delivery and Zadran smashed it for a huge six. Not only this as he even asked Brien to follow the ball to irk him.

Brien was upset with this as all the efforts put by him were wasted but this six did not have much effect   the game as the Ireland won the match by 12 runs but Zadran remained unbeaten at 31. The five matches ODI series ended in a draw with both the team winning two games each.
