The trump card of the Indian batting line up and perhaps the most consistent player at present claimed that he is eagerly waiting for the England tour. He is the only Indian batsmen in recent times who played consistently well in overseas. He played well in the South Africa tour in last December and also performed pretty well against England. He is now hoping that he could make some match winning performances in the English soils.

India’s tour to England starts on 9th July this year and prior to it, India will play 2 warm up games. India’s last tour to England in 2011 was humiliating and they lost the test series against India by 4-0. Indian team will surely try to improve their performances in this tour and will definitely try to make a mark on it.

Kohli expressed his feelings in twitter off-late. He twitted:

Virat Kohli

Kohli has been preparing hard for the England tour. He had been rested from the Bangladesh series so that he can start fresh from the England tour and he desperately wants to carry on with his run scoring patch in England too.

Former Indian Captain, Rahul Dravid is pretty much confident about India’s performance in England and hopes the team be able to take revenge of the 4-0 defeat which they incurred 3 years back.

Dravid claimed, “It is going to be a challenging series, there is no doubt about it. If India can find a couple of bowlers who can step up during the series, then I think they are in for a great series.”

India will play a 5 match series against England. Also it is a fact that India has never played a 5-match test series since 1959. Dravid feels that the Dhoni led Indian side will come up to the occasion and will definitely be able to put a great performance.

Kohli will be one of the key batsmen in the tour and if he gets going in the English soils, then India can definitely win the series.
