As per the reports in DNA, The fallout of the Supreme Court’s verdict in the IPL betting and spot-fixing case is beginning to be felt in the Indian dressing room Down Under.

On January 24th, Virat Kohli “favourited” and “retweeted” dna’s tweet on December 11th, titled ‘Is Mahendra Singh Dhoni the mysterious number 2 in Mudgal committee report?’ This got deleted around 3.15 pm on Saturday after the news spread like wildfire.

Aditya Verma, the secretary of Cricket Association of Bihar, has said a surprising thing that he has been getting congratulatory calls from Indian players in Australia for exposing Srinivasan.

“Soon after the Supreme Court pronounced its verdict, many players called me and commended my efforts for exposing Srinivasan,” Verma told dna. He refused to name the cricketers, though. “I don’t want to take names because the Srinivasan lobby will harm them,” Verma said.

Bishan Singh Bedi said that Virat Kohli should be protected as he may become a victim of Srinivasan’s camp.

“Dhoni has already given up Test captaincy. And soon, you will see him leave the game, going by his body language. But if you ask me, I’ve no time for Dhoni as I’m only concerned about the other players who all should focus hard on the World Cup. They should not be allowed to be bogged down by these happenings.

“Virat Kohli should be protected as he may become a victim of Srinivasan’s camp, if there is pressure on Dhoni to quit. The way things are unfolding now, if Dhoni has to face the music, so be it,” former spinner said.
