The Top 50 Desirable Men of India, a quotient conducted by The Times has come up with its results for 2014. This list includes those men who have the highest desirability quotient and who obviously are the biggest trendsetters. The voting for this list is done by viewers through digital mediums and the voting is done based on factors such as style, panache, attitude, looks and performance in their respective fields. The girls are simply crazy behind these heartthrobs while the boys look up to them for inspiration and style icons. This list has men from various aspects of the society such as sportsmen, actors, models, businessmen and politicians.
Not so surprisingly, this list for 2014 was topped by India’s batting sensation Virat Kohli. Kohli was named as the Most Desirable Indian Man based on the votes he got. In his usual style, he thanked all his fans for staying beside him solidly. It was due to the love of the fans, that Kohli topped this wonderful list.
With the bat though, Kohli might have struggled in 2014 in England, but he was back at his best soon. Under his captaincy, the Indians whitewashed Sri Lanka and then played in Australia like true lions. Kohli, almost guided India to an epic win in Adelaide, but sadly that was not to be. But, it was Kohli’s efforts while going for that win which surely mesmerized the Indians. Kohli displayed his lion hearted traits during that test.
In Kohli, the Indians have found a perfect style icon. On the cricket field, he roars like a lion and performs like a wizard. Off the cricket field, Kohli is loved for his panache and style. His straight –from –the –heart attitude is loved by one and all.
On being felicitated as the winner, Kohli thanked his fans and said that his girlfriend, actress Anushka Sharma was the most desirable woman for him. He also had a special thought for his mother, who was beside him through every up and down.
At number ten in the list, was Indian captain MS Dhoni. Dhoni is a regular member in this elite list. His fan following increases for every occasion. After leading the side terrifically in the World Cup, Dhoni was bound to be loved by Indians even more. They voted for him whole heartedly and placed him at number ten. It’s his icy cool mindset and soft spoken nature, which is loved by one and all.
On the 21st position was India’s opener Rohit Sharma, who entered the list for the first time. Sharma, known for his down to earth approach impressed the voters. After his knock of 264 against Sri Lanka in an ODI, people simply went gaga over him. This talented Mumbai lad was at his best in the World Cup. If he performs in the same way, then like Kohli and Dhoni, he too could be a regular member of the list.
Placed at the 29th position was Indian cricketer Suresh Raina. Raina is famous among the girls for his cute looks and a million dollar smile. Like Rohit, this was the first time that Raina featured in the list. Raina recently tied the knot with childhood friend Priyanka Chaudhary.
