With the test series against Sri Lanka set to begin from the 12th of August, Indian skipper Virat Kohli is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring success for his side. After volunteering to play for India A against the visiting Australia A side, Kohli has now reached out to his fans. In a recent video uploaded on the social media, Kohli urges the Indian supporters to get behind the side and support them. By doing so, Kohli has made it evident that if the test side is to excel, then it will require lots of support and well wishes from the fans.

Recently, when the team for the tour was selected, Kohli also requested the selectors to name him in the India A side which will take on the Australia A side in the second unofficial test. The flamboyant Indian test captain surely does not want to compromise on his test batting form. The Sri Lanka series will be Kohli’s first full fledged test series since taking over as the captain of the Indian test side.

The test series will be the first in five years between the teams. The last time Sri Lanka and India played a test series, it was in 2010, in Sri Lanka. The series back then had been shared as both the sides won one game apiece.

Below, is the tweet, in which the video was uploaded by the BCCI.
