Virat Kohli Foundation joined hands with Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘Playing for Humanity’ to hold a charity football match which also featured limited overs captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni apart from and top Bollywood actors including Ranbir Kapoor. The game termed as Celebrity Clasico was played at Mumbai Andheri Sports Complex. While India Test cricket skipper Kohli led the ‘All Heart Football Club’,bollywood stra Bachchan led the ‘All Stars Football Club’.

The last time these two teams met, All Hearts won the match by 4-3. The football match between both the teams will be for charity.

The bollywood stars once again failed to register a victory as  the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

The All Stars Football Club took the lead in the ninth minute after a Dino Morea cross was headed superbly by Soojit Sarkar in the top corner. What a goal that was. A Poor defense from the Indian cricket team, allowed Dino Morea to creep into the right hand side and get a ball into the box.

Sarkar got a lot of space and headed the ball perfectly into the top corner
The bollywood stars doubled their lead in the 36th minute when Ranbir Kapoor’s trainer Antonio Pecora fired one in. His shot took a slight deflection off R Ashwin’s hand and then found the corner at the near post.

The first was completely dominated by the bollywood stars before Yuvraj Singh pulled a goal back for the cricketers in the 41st minute to make the score 2-1.
The All Stars’ goalkeeper failed to gather the ball properly which kindly fell in the path of Yuvraj who easily helped the ball to find its way towards the goal.
The first half ended with the All Stars leading 2-1.

In the second half the cricketers finally found some rhythm and started dominating the game but the were finding it difficult to score the equaliser. With ten minutes remaining, the game was going in favour of All Stars but then in the 81st minute , Dhawan played  a clever pass from his left and KL Rahul thumped the ball to the top corner from the left to make the score 2-2.

An avid sports lover, i always wanted to pursue a career in football. But just like the millions out there i did not put in the hard work needed to achieve my dream and now i have become a fan instead of the player. Anyway, writing for sports has kept me closer to this field. One more thing, yours sincerely is a die-hard Liverpool fan. You will never walk alone.
