Virender Sehwag Compares Virat Kohli To ‘Maachis’

The former Indian opener and Twitter king Virender Sehwag has heaped praises on Virat Kohli. His praise has come on the back of Virat Kohli scored yet another double-century in this year to become the only Indian batsman till now to score three double centuries in a year.

Virender Sehwag wrote that –

This is the highest order of praise that Virat Kohli might have heard till now from a veteran cricketer himself.

Virat Kohli is going through a dream run as he has scored three double centuries till now. In addition to that, his stats shows that he has bettered each and every other batsman if compared. He has led the team from the front in each and every format he has played. He showed his ghastly show in IPL 2016 when he plundered a total of 973 runs including four centuries. That is something which has never happened in the history of IPL.

Well, he showed in his form right from the start of the year as he was the second highest run-scorer for India in the ODI series played against Australia in the first month of the year. He continued his great run in the T20 series as well as he scored three back to back half-centuries in three T20 games that followed. In T20 World Cup 2016, he alone carried the team to the semi-final stage but a heartbreak against West indies ended team India’s run in the tournament. The IPL 2016 was the biggest success in his life as he was at the peak of his form. A Test series win against West Indies, New Zealand and now England has kept him away and apart from others.

Virat Kohli has not jutted bettered his form but also has carried the team on his shoulders, alone. Till now, he is probably the only character in Indian team who deserves the praise and all the accolades for his performance in the year 2016. This is the best season for Virat Kohli in his cricketing career.
