Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir will have their task cut out when Delhi takes on Mumbai in the pre-quarterfinals of the 2014 Vijay Hazare trophy at Rajkot. This is yet another chance for the duo to prove the selectors that they can still make it to the World Cup. Sehwag and Gambhir has been instrumental in Delhi reaching the knockouts this year as the duo scored important fifties in the final North Zone qualifiers against Haryana last week.

They will look to score heavily in the match given the fact that the match will take place at Rajkot, a venue known for nightmare for the bowlers. If both Sehwag and Gambhir manage to score a century, they will make a strong case to the selectors and there are also possibilities for their team to make it to the last 8, which gives them yet another opportunity to prove their worth. They need to go all-out against domestic giants Mumbai in-order to get selected for the World Cup.

On the other hand, Punjab will be facing Gujarat in Rajkot tomorrow. In this match, all eyes will be on Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh who will look to make it count ahead of the World Cup. Both the players had a poor outing in the North Zone qualifiers and they will look to improve on their game and out an impressive performance which will earn them a ticket to the World Cup.

This might be the last opportunity for all these four players to impress the selectors as the spots for the World Cup are almost over. Some remarkable performance from any of them will earn them a spot in the cricket extravaganza which begins on February 14 in Australia. The last day to name the 30 men probables is December 7 and the deadline for the final 15 men Squad is January 14.
