Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag expressed his desire to start his new association with international cricket. This time, he will entertain fans with his commentary. Sehwag indicated that his new role might start in the India- Pakistan series which scheduled tentatively on December 15.

Sehwag said sports broadcasters like Ten Sports and other channels have approached him for the job.

But, this could only possible if Indian government give the nod to the series. Sehwag said he would like the commentary in Ranji Trophy matches.

At Dehradun office of Hindi daily “Dainik Jagaran” Sehwag said he would like to see the India-Pakistan series. But for that two governments need to come on the table. He added, “whatever decision Indian government takes he will support.”

Sehwag recently hung his boot after playing international cricket for 14 years. He said he is ready to take any responsibility if BCCI asks him.

On the recent home advantage clamour after India Test series victory over South Africa at Nagpur, Sehwag said there is nothing wrong to take home advantage. When Indian team travel other countries they also face hostile conditions as the host prepare the pitches that suit them.

Asked about MS Dhoni captaincy after the 2-0 T20 and 3-2 ODI series loss, Sehwag said MS Dhoni is now 34. A few years of cricket still left in him. So, he should continue until he takes call his own career. Earlier Sehwag said, “MS Dhoni is not a man to stick with his role even after failure. If he thinks his batting does not suit in limited over cricket he will quit. As he did in Test cricket.”

Talking about the day-night Test, Sehwag said it is the future as fans can attend the match after office. He also said the pink ball is doing in the first day-night Test at Adelaide Oval Test between Australia and New Zealand.
