The bowling legend Wasim Akram has withdrawn his case against a suspect for a car shooting incident that occurred two years back in the month of August.
Akram has opted for an out of court settlement route with the suspect. He has also informed the court about the same. The Magistrate-East has also accepted the request of Akram for an out of court settlement and has shut down the case.
Akram has opted for this route after a bailable arrest warrant was issued against him after he failed to appear in the court even after 31 hearings for the same case filed by him. Thus, Akram decided to take the other route to settle the issue out of the court. The incident occurred when his vehicle was fired two years back at Karsaz.
In an international career spanning 19 years, Wasim Akram played 104 Tests and 356 ODIs for Pakistan. He scalped 414 wickets in the longest format of the game whereas finds his name second on the list of most wickets in ODIs by virtue of taking 502 wickets in the shortest format of the game of that time.
