During the dead rubber encounter, the last match of the Group stage, Barbados Tridents opened their account to go back with a win as they beat Northern Knights in a close game.

In a position of bit of bother for Northern Knights with a crucial stand forming, they managed to break it, with brilliant effort at boundary.

They broke the stand of 56 runs as they were able to dismiss Carter courtesy of a outstanding catching effort by Devcich who managed to pull the ball to get over the boundary line and his throw was genlty taken by Daryl Mitchell , who was part of a similar instance in which Southee was the effort maker.
