The way the Border-Gavaskar series so far, especially the last the days of the ongoing Ranchi Test, a fiery final day full of sledging and banters was very much on the cards and the players did not take long for the first altercation of the day.

The incident happened in the 29th over of the day when Ishant Sharma ran in to bowl the first ball of the over. However, just when he was about to release the ball, Australia opener Matt Renshaw pulled out at the last moment. Angry with the Aussie opener’s conduct, Ishant threw the ball towards Wriddhiman Saha. With the situation getting out of hand, umpire Chris Gaffaney called Virat Kohli to have a chat. In the meanwhile, Ishant got involved in another tussle with Australia skipper Steve Smith. But Ajinkya Rahane made a timely intervention and separated the two players to bring things under control.

Here is a clip of that incident:

An avid sports lover, i always wanted to pursue a career in football. But just like the millions out there i did not put in the hard work needed to achieve my dream and now i have become a fan instead of the player. Anyway, writing for sports has kept me closer to this field. One more thing, yours sincerely is a die-hard Liverpool fan. You will never walk alone.
